Janet Li, CFA
Wealth Business Leader, Asia
She oversees and is responsible for Mercer’s Wealth (Investment and Retirement) Business in Asia. In her role, she leads and drives business strategy, including both inorganic and organic, to achieve the growth plan as well as managing the team across Asia.
Janet has vast experience working with institutional clients (sovereigns, pension, insurance, corporate and wealth management). Her experience also spans across a wide range of investment services (asset liability review and strategy, portfolio construction, manager review, selection and monitoring, investment governance and transformation, discretionary management, member communication and education and related tools’ developments) and a diverse range of asset classes (public equities and fixed income, private equities, illiquid credit, real estate and infrastructure).
Before joining Mercer, Janet was the Director of Investments, Greater China at Willis Towers Watson where she was also a core member of the Asia leadership team.
Janet is the Chairman of the Executive Committee, the Chairman of the Members Communication Sub-committee and a Member of the Business Strategy Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association (“HKRSA”). She has been a delegate and a supporter to the annual Cross Straits Pension Forum (this year is the 10th anniversary), which the HKRSA has been one of the key organizers, for the past 8 years. Janet is also a Management Committee Member and a member of the Research and Development Sub-committee of the Taiwan Pension Fund Association and an Advisory Committee Member of the FTSE Taiwan Index Committee.
Strategy Leader - Investment Research
Beverley joined Mercer as a manager researcher in June 2010 and subsequently took on the role of global head of retail research in September 2011.
In January 2018, she became the strategy leader for investment research. In this role she works closely with the global head of investment research and the boutique leaders, leading research-related projects and helping to shape the direction of investment research, ensuring that IR remain commercial and provide a market leading service. As part of this role, Beverley is responsible for the implementation of Mercer FundWatchTM from a research perspective, and is based currently in Singapore to assist with the launch of the service.
Beverley continues with her responsibilities with regard to Global Retail Research and retains oversight of the WM research team led by Sagar Shah.
Weath Business Leader, Hong Kong
Adeline joined Mercer Hong Kong in 2014 as the Head of Investment Advisory and later expanded her oversight to include Retirement Advisory within Mercer’s Wealth business.
As Mercer’s head of Advisory, she led the consulting team in serving clients on asset and liability matters, and was responsible for client delivery and growing the technical capabilities of the team. Prior to joining Mercer, she was with another leading consulting firm for 12 years and she began her career advising large UK pension schemes on the funding and risk management of their liabilities. In the same firm, she was seconded to the Shanghai office and gained experience in the region.
Later she returned to the UK to specialize in development of long-term investment strategy, asset-liability studies, dynamic de-risking and portfolio construction matters. She then focused on delivering whole-fund investment solutions to clients that opted to delegate a greater part of their investment processes.
Adeline is a graduate of the Business School at the University of Warwick, UK, and is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Actuaries.
