We are advocates for corporate social responsibility not just in the way we do business, but also in our commitment to helping our communities. Mercer Cares is a signature global program that supports and encourages colleague-driven volunteering in the communities where we live and work.

How Mercer Cares Makes a Difference

  • Strategically Aligned Nonprofit Partnerships - In collaboration with Marsh McLennan, Mercer partners with select nonprofit organizations to create high-impact initiatives in the areas of education and disaster preparedness and recovery. Mercer is also a proud supporter of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Network globally.
  • Global Volunteer Month –Each May, as a way to increase the impact of our year-round volunteering program, Mercer Cares partners with our colleagues, our clients and our nonprofit partners to make a positive difference in our communities by volunteering together. 
  • Global Reach, Local Impact – Colleagues have access to year-round opportunities to participate in mentorship and other community-focused volunteering initiatives with our nonprofit partners and local organizations.
  • Supporting Local Causes – Each year, Mercer colleagues dedicate thousands of volunteer hours to support an array of important initiatives including education, the environment, health and wellness, poverty alleviation, and veterans affairs.
  • Recognition and Rewards – Colleagues who have given back to their communities in extraordinary ways are recognized and rewarded for their volunteer efforts through our Volunteer Recognition Programs.
  • Dedicated Time Off to Volunteer – All colleagues may take one paid day off each year to volunteer in their communities.

Mercer Cares In Action

International Women’s Day and launch of P.A.G.E 150

P.A.G.E 150 is an important initiative to improve access and support for girls in Asia. P.A.G.E stands for Powering Asian Girls Education and 150 is a reference to Marsh McLennan’s 150th anniversary and the commitment to give back to our communities with 150 hours of skilled labor, in each of our Asia markets, for the next 12 months. Here in HK, we are partnering with Mother’s Choice, a local NGO with a mission to support pregnant teens and their babies, who are some of the most vulnerable and in need of resources.

At Mercer, our strength lies in our diversity. As we stand United in Pride, our commitment to Inclusion, Diversity and belonging is at the core of who we are.


To celebrate Pride at Mercer, we have set up a Pride Wall in our office, to empower colleagues to share message, quote, or a drawing to show support for inclusiveness. Pride at Mercer isn’t just a month-long celebration. We encourage all our colleagues to support each other so that we can nurture the culture of belonging in the ways we show up, big and small, every day.


Beach Clean Up 


Plastic marine litter is a neglected area of conservation which affects the habitats of sea animals. Each of us can take a small step towards a great difference, starting with beach cleanup. Mercer colleagues took part in a beach clean-up, to support in the effort of reducing marine pollution and to make a positive impact for a sustainable environment.
