美世達信員工福利發現香港醫療成本通脹為9% 達本地通脹率的6倍

美世達信員工福利2018全球醫療趨勢研究發現,環球醫療成本增幅持續跑贏通脹,其中香港情況不容忽視,2017年醫療成本按年上漲9%,幅度為香港通脹率1.5%的6倍。美世達信員工福利建議,僱主宜投資數據分析及採用整體系統的綜合方案,從而有效管理團體醫療成本。美世達信員工福利乃威達信集團的國際員工福利業務。

香港醫療通脹高於新加坡及南韓

美世達信員工福利訪問了來自62個國家的225家保險公司,綜合調查數據顯示,2017年環球醫療成本增幅為9.5%,接近環球通脹率3.4%的3倍。香港增幅(9%)雖然低於環球水平,但仍高於新加坡(8.6%)及韓國(7%)兩個亞洲主要發達國家。

美世(香港)健康福利及強積金業務部總經理王玉麟先生表示:「香港的醫療成本升幅遠高於通脹,僱主提供的公司醫療幅利成本不斷上升,故僱主有需要重新檢視現時沿用的醫保計劃設計,並加大投資數據分析及採用整體系統的綜合方案,更有效管理團體醫療成本。」

王玉麟先生續稱:「傳統醫療保險的設計主要基於在診所、醫院環境中接受治療,而少有包含鼓勵健康生活的原則。將預防性質注入保險設計,將有利降低僱主醫療成本。」

展望2018年,全球醫療趨勢研究預測,2018年環球醫療成本平均增幅為9.1%,香港升幅料為8.4%。

醫療數碼化有助僱主控制成本 並改善僱員體驗

鑑於現時用戶對數碼體驗的期望,目前每6間保險公司只有1間不提供數碼索賠功能,僱主和保險公司均需要投資在數碼和數據功能上。

「醫療保險的重大數碼變革將為客戶帶來好處。」美世達信員工福利董事總經理Andrew Perry說。「全球醫療趨勢研究證實了我們的想法,保險公司正進行競賽,爭取更有效收集及使用病患的數據。 若在這方面取得進展,將有助於公司更有效滿足員工需求,實現為所有人提供更實惠,更高質素的醫療系統這個長遠的目標。」
