Overview

Achieving financial security is top of mind for many people globally. Research conducted on the subject over the past few years shows that most individuals are unable to demonstrate financial readiness for their retirement years. To help your employees to better plan for the future and for their retirement, Mercer is offering a workshop for your colleagues on financial wellness and retirement savings. In the course of the workshop, participants will:

  • Receive in-depth illustrations on different topics by experienced Mercer trainers
  • Complete a financial wellness workbook, which records their estimated post-retirement financial needs, and learn various investment strategies to help them achieve their goal
  • Take part in interactive class activities to reinforce their knowledge

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

This workshop will cover post retirement financial planning, in which participants will be able to better understand:

  • The gap between how much they can save and how much they need
  • The way in which different investment vehicles, both within and outside of their pension plan, can help them achieve their retirement savings target
  • Their unique investment risk profile, and suitable portfolio asset allocation and investment vehicles
  • The importance of taking action today

SPEAKERS

Mandy Chan

Mandy is a consultant in the Wealth business of Mercer Hong Kong. She is responsible for developing and delivering retirement plan solutions to Mercer’s clients in Hong Kong and other countries in Asia Pacific

Mandy has over 6 years of retirement and benefit consulting experience in Hong Kong. She advised companies on retirement benefit provider review, benefit scheme restructuring, design and implementation, benefit change and communication, post M&A benefit harmonization, benefit benchmarking, experience analysis, and asset-and-liability study. She also performed actuarial funding and accounting valuations on retirement schemes for local and multinational companies.

Mandy received a B.B.A. in Insurance, Financial and Actuarial Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.  She is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.  She has also attained the Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst credential from the Society of Actuaries.

 

Freddie Cheng

Freddie is a Consultant in the Wealth business of Mercer Hong Kong. Freddie’s focuses in benefits design, MPF providers review, change-management consulting and employee communication.

Prior to joining Mercer, Freddie was working with a Employee Benefit broking firm for over 8 years focus on the development of the Pension business. He was involved in different aspects from established the Pension Model, HR Seminars, Member communications and in-house training on the Pension environment including MPF Market changes.

Freddie graduated with a Bachelor degree in Social Science from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.  Freddie is awarded the Fellow, Life Management Institute in the insurance industry.

FEE

Regular price: HK$25,000 per workshop for an ideal class size of 20 - 25 people. 

CPD

Participation in this workshop can be counted as part of your colleagues Continued Professional Development hours.
